GENERAL SUMMARY:
The HR Associate may serve as the first contact for applicants and employees regarding job vacancies, employee benefits, payroll issues and hospital policies. Guides and counsels prospective employees through the on-line application process; consistently updates knowledge and keeps a clear understanding of HFHS Human Resources’ policies and procedures. As a fully integrated member of the Human Resources Department, the HR Associate acts as liaison between hospital and employees on a daily basis, to resolve problems or refer to appropriate staff.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Builds effective working relationships with members of leadership and staff within Business Unit and System HR teams. Works collaboratively with Business Partners, providing administrative duties as assigned. May directly handle or triage employee requests to appropriate HR Center of Excellence. Collaborates with HR staff in Business Unit New Hire Orientation Demonstrates the ability to master and apply new information technology tools to assigned work; Work processing, HRIT software, PowerPoint, Spreadsheets, Databases. Generates regularly scheduled reports of key HR metrics for assigned Business Partner’s areas Skilled in the creation of Adhoc reports, gathering data and formatting into data files Monitors HR programs for compliance, contacting employees as necessary Resolves employees concerns or re-directs to appropriate HR personnel Assists in the development of department goals, maintaining alignment with the Business Unit and HR’s strategic plan. Actively promotes inter-disciplinary collaboration and information sharing within Human Resources Attends and actively participates in conferences, educational programs/workshops; applies acquired knowledge in daily practice. Actively participates as member of assigned HR or Business Unit Committee(s) Responsible for the creation, implementation, and monitoring of assigned special projects. Duties must be performed with minimal supervision and requires a high degree of self-motivation. Responsible for the uninterrupted flow of the HR department, including but not limited to the maintenance of all equipment, ordering of all supplies, local recording keeping, etc. as required. Actively participates as member of assigned HR or Business Unit Committee(s) Responsible for the creation, implementation, and monitoring of assigned special projects.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Associate’s degree in Human Resources Management, or related field, preferred. One year of experience in an administrative role, or customer service related position.
