Position Overview:
This Utilization Review role is primarily responsible for accurate data entry and administrative support, including patient scheduling and registration via phone and computer systems. The position also plays an important front‑line role in client engagement.
Schedule: 9am-5:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete timely and accurate data entry related to patient services and utilization review
- Schedule and register patients for treatment services via phone and electronic systems
- Communicate with prospective and current clients regarding admission to substance use and co‑occurring disorder treatment
- Provide reassurance and clear information to clients who may have concerns or fears about entering treatment
- Discuss mental health history, substance use, and physical limitations as part of the residential treatment scheduling process
- Maintain professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality in all client interactions
- Review care and treatment received & communicate with third party payers in order to obtain authorization for care.
Acts as a resource to related parties by providing training and educational sessions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related human services field
- Experience in addiction treatment and/or recovery services preferred
- CADC certification strongly preferred
- Highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to manage detailed administrative tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
