Specialist - PR & Communication - Full Time Day Shift - Henry Ford Macomb Hospital
General Summary:
The Specialist, Public Relations & Communications supports strategic communications and engagement efforts to support hospital campuses, medical centers and other regionally based services. Committed to continuous learning; supporting a well-informed, highly engaged workforce; and being a key contributor to organizational growth, the specialist will create highly engaging content and informational resources, identify storytelling opportunities, assist with the execution of communication plans, and support the broader efforts of the regional public relations and communications team. This position reports to the Manager, Public Relations & Communications.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Professional/Creative Writing or a related field is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years' experience in public relations, communications, or a related field, with increasing responsibility.
- Exceptional oral, written and digital communication skills.
- Excellent people skills and works extremely well with a broad cross-section of team members.
- Must be a critical thinker, able to communicate complex medical and other concepts across broad audiences.
- Must be guided by a passion for storytelling, natural curiosity and a collaborative client partner orientation.
- Able to manage multiple projects, accounts and complex issues with an orientation to strategic focus, innovation, creativity and attention to detail and accuracy.
