Product Manager - Benefit Partnerships - Health Alliance Plan - Troy
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Business Administration, Project Management, Health Care, or related field.
- Three (3) years of product management, product development or project management experience in running large projects of a complex nature preferably in Managed Care or Insurance.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience or in a leadership role.
- Experience in a professional role directly involved with Product Management Product Development and/or Project Management.
- Experience in product management and is familiar with the product lifecycle.
- Experience leading initiatives that require coordination and cooperation from multiple functional areas.
- Ability to drive business results, ensure market-driven direction, and guide product ‘fit’ and function.
- Has vision to continually improve products and offer innovative ideas.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with leadership from multiple functional areas such as: Sales, Underwriting, Membership, Claims, Customer Service, Provider Relations, IT.
- High energy; strong leadership, analytical, project planning and staff motivation/coordination skills to enable efficient, timely task completion of deliverables that meet or exceed project expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to function in a creative, "out-of-the-box" thinking in order to develop original solutions to overcome roadblocks and meet or exceed project requirements and expectations.
- Ability to coordinate tasks and initiatives with staff from multiple areas.
- Organized program management including employing standardized processes and documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for business case development and presentation.
- Ability to work and lead in a team environment with flexibility and adaptability.
- Knowledge of product development life cycle concepts and marketing/sales principles for new products.
- Knowledge of managed care principles and high-level understanding of managed care business functions (e.g. Sales, Membership & Billing, Claims).
- Knowledge of project and program management principles.
- Proficient technical and software skills.
