GENERAL SUMMARY:

Perform the duties of a staff pharmacist under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Under direct supervision, maintain proper narcotic documentation and ensure proper distribution of narcotic medications. Under direct supervision, ensure appropriate selection of dosing, administering and monitoring of medication. Dispense medications accurately for delivery to patient care areas. May compound medications. Assist pharmacists with maintaining and monitoring patient profiles. Provide medication information and education to medical staff and patients.

Schedule: Rotating Shift- Candidate to be available to work 4 weekend shifts in an 8-week schedule. Candidate to be able to work 1 four-hour helper shift every other week. Candidate to be available to work at least 32 hours during school breaks including summer.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma equivalency
  • -OR- Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline.
  • Candidate will be starting or enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy program

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

  • Registered Pharmacy Intern
  • Pharmacist-Ed Ltd-5 preferred
