Logistics Supervisor Pharmacy Warehouse - Full Time - Product Service Line (Elijah McCoy)
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under minimal supervision, oversees day-to-day warehouse operations or coordinates all logistics at the Centralized Pharmacy Services Center (CPSC). Supervision may include the pharmacy inventory clerks, pharmacy technicians, and other pharmacy support staff within the CPSC warehouse. Reports to the respective pharmacy manager within the CPSC
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees and coordinates all logistics supporting pharmaceutical distribution to and from CPSC internal pharmacy customers across the health system and CPSC external pharmacy customers.
- Supervises the pharmacy inventory clerks within the loading dock.
- Represents department at appropriate meetings; policies and procedures and when other department activities would impact logistics.
- Handles related customer concerns pertinent to logistics.
- Directs the layout, maintenance, and safe operation of the loading dock areas.
- Performs other supervisory duties as assigned throughout the CPSC campus.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in Materials Management, Health Administration, Accounting, or related field, or the equivalent in work experience, with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience involving medication procurement, pharmacy sourcing, pharmacy distribution, pharmacy automation, or medication inventory management in a health care setting required.
- Pharmacy technician experience and licensure required.
- Knowledge and/or understanding of 340b is preferred for Operations.
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Valid State of Michigan pharmacy technician licensure required.
