GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Manager of Revenue Cycle & Receivables Management  – HAP (Health Alliance Plan) is a results-driven leader, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the revenue cycle – from premium collections and reporting to delinquency management and system oversight. You’ll collaborate across departments, safeguard critical revenue processes, and ensure compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and statutory accounting standards.

This is a highly visible leadership role where you’ll guide a talented team, partner with senior leadership, and help shape the financial health of the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct daily activities of the Receivables Department, providing clear leadership, planning, and coordination.

  • Monitor, analyze, and report monthly revenue by line of business in compliance with GAAP. Collaborate across departments to resolve discrepancies.

  • Oversee all payment mechanisms (checks, wire transfers, ACH, Check 21, credit cards, and more), ensuring robust internal controls.

  • Manage upgrades and interfaces for the Oracle Receivables module, including testing, documentation, and training.

  • Deliver monthly receivable analysis, including allowance for uncollectible accounts, and support quarterly/annual statutory filings.

  • Oversee monthly agent commission reporting and payments in partnership with Marketing and Underwriting.

  • Lead the monthly delinquency process, including enrollment continuation or termination decisions.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance processes through technology and automation.

  • Mentor, develop, and evaluate staff to support growth and performance.

  • Coordinate ERISA reporting and ensure all requirements are met.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
  • MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years in accounting/finance required.
  • 5+ years of managerial experience, preferred.
  • 3+ years in the health insurance industry, preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal.

  • Ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams and leadership levels.

  • Comfortable with complex financial systems and technology.

Knowledge:

  • Insurance industry billing, enrollment, and collection cycles.

  • Accounting and financial procedures.

  • ERISA reporting requirements.

  • Electronic data processing in an insurance environment.
