Director of Strategic Sourcing
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or closely related field or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
- Three to five years progressively more responsible experience purchasing hospital related supplies, services and equipment, including one to two years supervisory contract management and group purchasing experience in a healthcare setting.
- Analytical ability and judgment to direct the preparation of detailed cost, benefit, and utilization analyses of supplies, services and equipment and to provide well-reasoned recommendations on contract options.
- Thorough knowledge of contract/procurement options, methods, terms and conditions.
- Interpersonal and leadership skills to direct subordinate staff and advise clinical and management staff in the purchase of supplies, services and equipment in a cost effective manner.
- Broad technical knowledge of the use and application of specialized healthcare equipment and supplies.
- Oral and written communication and persuasion skills to direct the preparation and presentation of complex analyses and to oversee the negotiation of system-wide contracts.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures. Must be able to travel to various HFHS sites (10%) as needed.
