Henry Ford Hospital Department of Surgery, Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery, in Detroit, Michigan is seeking an academic board eligible/certified colon and rectal surgeon interested in joining its practice of five physicians as a member of the nationally recognized Henry Ford Medical Group.

This position is 100% clinical time as a colon and rectal surgeon in a broad practice including minimally invasive and robotic approaches, TEM, anorectal care, and lower endoscopy. Teaching of third and fourth year medical students, General Surgery residents (all levels) and Colon and Rectal fellows is required. Academic appointment is at nearby Michigan State University. The division has dedicated funds to help support initial research projects.

The division leads clinical care at the NAPRC accredited Henry Ford Cancer Institute using tumor specific care pathways and the Department and Division have major roles in the management of the center. In addition, tumor registry and precision genomic analysis of multiple tumor types will allow increased access to care, clinical trials and management of advanced cancers as a referral facility.

Candidates must have completed a U.S. general surgery residency and ACGME approved fellowship.   Those who are ABCRS eligible must be certified within three years of eligibility.
