GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under direction of the Manager or the Director of Care Experience, administers and maintains several key care experience applications and databases including, but not limited to, patient satisfaction database, patient safety/complaint management database, electronic patient rounding application and Henry Ford TV application. Responsible for routine maintenance and upgrades of these applications, user support, user troubleshooting and application training. Customers and end users of this support service include operating unit, service line, market and system front-line team members, leadership, and physicians.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates with Care Experience and Quality business unit team members and leaders to optimize databases and applications and support harm reduction, high reliability, and an exceptional experience
  • Provides technical assistance to application and database users and resolves routine user issues
  • Partners with application and database vendors to resolve complex user and platform issues
  • Performs routine database and application maintenance
  • Provides primary support for application and database upgrades and implementations and partners with vendors and HFHS IT to successfully complete those tasks
  • Develops and conducts training for users of applications and databases
  • Creates user guides, tip-sheets and reference documents to support user training
  • Produces detailed, integrated reports and analyses from the disparate databases and applications they maintain
  • Other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree with a health care, computer science or business focus is required 
  • Minimum of 1-2 years in a Healthcare or Business setting required
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in a Healthcare or Business setting preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products - Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word 
  • Experience in the use of Power BI or Tableau a plus
  • Experience in the use of structured query language in a relational database a plus
  • Experience in the use of HFHS Corporate Data Stores a plus
  • Experience in the use of a programming language also a plus
  • Experience with RL6 and/or Press Ganey a plus
