EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree or Master of Science degree in Hospital Pharmacy with equivalent curriculum required. 

    Advanced degree in health care or business administration preferred (i.e., MBA, MHSA, MPH, etc.). 

  • Ten (10) years of experience in health system pharmacy practice, with demonstrated progressive experience and at least five (5) years in ambulatory pharmacy practice, specialty pharmacy and 340B management. 
  • Leadership experience in an integrated health system or hospital environment with broad clinical, operational, and regulatory background. 
  • Experience as a System Level pharmacy leader. 
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in working with, and coordinating activities of others, in developing improved pharmacy services, quality improvement, and cost-savings initiatives. 
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills to contribute effectively to the dissemination of information to all levels of health care personnel in the health system. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of progressive health-system pharmacy practice. Ability to conceptualize, align and explain strategic vision based upon multiple complex parameters, including healthcare marketplace, market trends, emerging pharmaceutical innovations, business impact, and product value. 
  • Must be fluent and have established proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytic tools to effectively capture and measure medication use, expense, and related trends. 

 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: 

  • Current Michigan Licensure as a registered pharmacist required. 
  • Board certification in pharmacotherapy preferred.
