Vascular Ultrasound Technologist/PRN/Rotating Shift
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Requires knowledge of anatomy and physiology at a level normally acquired through completion of two (2) years post-high school education in an allied health science such as nursing or radiologic technology, as well as knowledge of vascular ultrasound techniques and procedures. Requires familiarity with vascular ultrasound equipment as normally acquired through completion of a twelve month vascular ultrasound training program.
- 1 to 2 years related experience is preferred.
- Must posses guest relations and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, physicians, visitors and contacts external to the hospital.
- Must be available for call after normal work hours.
CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED:
- BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- One or more of the following:
• Cardiographic Tech specializing in Vascular Interpretation credentialed from the Cardiovascular
Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for
Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
