Testing Analyst-Epic
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• High school diploma or equivalent required. College coursework or a degree in
healthcare informatics, computer science, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in one or more of the following domains:

- Technical Expertise: Experience in software testing, debugging, or technical
support, with the ability to articulate workflows and processes associated with IT
systems. - Clinical Expertise: Knowledge of clinical workflows (e.g., inpatient, ambulatory)
and familiarity with IT solutions supporting patient care. - Revenue Cycle Expertise: Understanding of bed management, registration,
scheduling, professional/hospital billing, medical records, or coding, with a focus
on IT-integrated workflows.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to ask precise
questions and engage stakeholders effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to ensure accurate test execution and
issue identification.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a
dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Diligent, results-oriented work habits with a commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Epic end-user workflows, with the ability to align test scripts with
clinical, revenue, or operational processes.
• Understanding of third-party system workflows (e.g., diagnostic imaging, data
analytics platforms, interoperability solutions) to support effective test script
development.
• Experience collaborating with project managers to align testing tasks with project
deliverables and timelines.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Project Delivery
Methodology, Agile) to enhance test coordination.
• Awareness of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP) or AI-driven testing
technologies to prepare for future trends.
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, HL7, FHIR) to ensure
testing meets regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with data analytics or reporting tools (e.g., Epic Reporting Workbench,
Tableau) to support test documentation and reporting.
• Awareness of testing certifications (e.g., ISTQB, Lean Six Sigma) as a foundation for
skill development.
