GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Supervisor of Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) for Population Health is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service under the guidance of the Director.

This entails monitoring and guiding a team of paramedics responsible for providing and facilitating transitions of care interventions in the Emergency Department (ED) and conducting in-home visits to assess and treat patients under the direction of a physician as part of the MIH ED diversion, hospital re-admission reduction and bridge care initiatives.

The Supervisor is responsible for participating in the development of policies, procedures daily workflow design and the maintenance of performance improvement activities. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Associate degree in a health-related professional field required.

• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred.

• Proven history in a supervisor or team leadership role required.

• Five (5) years of clinical experience as a paramedic required.

• Strong clinical skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to lead, coach and mentor individuals in multiple settings.

• Ability to develop collaborative relationships with an interdisciplinary care team.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Licensure as a Paramedic with a valid, unrestricted State of Michigan License.

• Valid State of Michigan Driver’s license.

• International Board of Specialty Certifications (IBSC) or other nationally recognized board certification as a Community Paramedic or Mobile Integrated Health Practitioner (or achievement of said within one (1) year of hire).
