EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Associate’s Degree is required.
At least one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
Three years of customer service experience working in a position requiring customer contact is required.
Must be able to read and write to understand oral and written instructions.
Work requires the knowledge of and/or the ability to learn electronic equipment, media, and/or other related software and equipment.
Work requires excellent verbal and written skills necessary to effectively interact and communicate with assigned personnel and people of varying educational levels, including patients, visitors, employees and physicians. Documentation is expected to be thorough and accurate.
Work requires the ability to conduct thorough timely investigations and compose complete detailed reports of various types.

Supervisor/Doorman Addendum
This position is responsible for creating a first-class service experience. Projects a professional warm first and last impression for our customers and engages them by anticipating and exceeding their expectations. Provides information and ensures that each patient/customer encounter is met with the ultimate service excellence. Leads and directs valet operation on the ramp. Assists patients/visitors when arriving or departing from the hospital. Determines needs (i.e., directional assistance, valet parking, drop off/pickup, patient discharge).Doorman greets with a smile on arrival and departure of patients/visitors and inquires patient/visitor name. Doorman makes effort to use visitor’s name. Doorman inquiries if patient/visitor needs directions to specific area in the hospital. Assist patients/visitors into and out of vehicles as needed. The Doorman is responsible for all parking and valet operations at the assigned entrance/lobby and the lobby area. Opens doors for all passengers, promptly assists with unloading items (if necessary). Serves as the direct supervisor for valet drivers and lobby staff. The Doorman is responsible for all scheduling of valet drivers. The scheduling is expected to maintain maximum use of staffing with minimal overtime. Keeps traffic flow moving, maintains a supply of clean useable wheelchairs at the entrance; maintains the driveway, congestion-free, through traffic control and monitoring illegal parking. The Doorman is responsible for working in liaison with the Security Police Department to report any vehicle accidents, pedestrian accidents (vehicle and non-motor vehicle) and any other incident that occurs in the valets’ normal area of responsibility. The Doorman is also responsible for proper accounting of daily valet tickets and cash receipts.
