Sr Infrastructure & Systems Engineer
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Four-year university degree or college diploma in the field of computer science and/or 5-10 years equivalent work experience.
3-5 years as a Sr. or Lead Desktop Engineer
5 years’ experience delivering infrastructure design and operational excellence
Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products.
Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices.
Extensive experience with one or more of the following core software applications, including Exchange, SharePoint, Lync, SQL Server, Solarwinds, Avaya, VMWare, SCCM
Excellent software troubleshooting experience.
Extensive application support experience with one or more of the products listed earlier
Working technical knowledge of programming automation languages such as vbscript, javascript, powershell
Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows, Linux, Android, iOS
Competence with testing, flowchart, and data mapping tools and procedures, such as Visio
Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
On-call availability.
Good project management skills.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certifications in one or more infrastructure platform a plus
