Sr Business Intelligence Developer
Responsible for supporting the development and implementation of a comprehensive program to extract and collect data using computer languages, analyze it, and effectively report information from this data to a variety of customers including physicians, physician groups, physician leaders, hospital leaders; provide analysis and develop new approaches to measurements and presentation of information; generate reports and support comparative database assessment and maintenance regarding performance, clinical, operational, and improvement efforts; utilize and apply knowledge of Waterfall, Tableau, QlikSense, trend analysis, Power BI, SQL, Python, statistical analysis, Microsoft Azure tools, Git code repo, relational database design/queries, dimensional data model design, ML modeling, and large acute care healthcare system data analysis to complete assigned tasks; serve as a member of the Core Analytics team to help enhance data driven culture and services within the health system; provide actionable interpretation of information for management to use to support decision making; present information to customers at all levels, including executives, physicians, clinical staff, peers, and external oversight/regulatory bodies; coordinate project deadlines, and maintain timeliness, delivery, and high quality of products/services; develop comprehensive solutions and ad-hoc reports; implement new and improved reporting processes to support strategic and clinical goals of the business operations; tell stories with data insights that are clear and discerning to help leaders make actionable decisions; work collaboratively with leaders and teams to understand how data solutions can make a positive impact; consult, design metrics, report, and build solutions as needed; document the process flows and ensure they are monitored for accuracy and quality; provide end-user training on existing tools; participate in webinars and other educational resources to enhance understanding of current developments in the healthcare environment; generate suggestions for improving work efficiency and promoting quality; guide customers to the central intake process, triage and fulfill report requests as assigned by the leader; serve as a liaison between Analytics and business leaders; research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing report procedures and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes; create complex scripts utilizing optimized query techniques on complex data tables; standardize the use of analytics tools and semantic layers throughout the organization; understand driving factors for data needs and provide data elements in addition to specific requests; work closely with operational stakeholders and Service Line leaders to understand needed data solutions, calculate value of those solutions, and provide continuous consulting throughout assignments; work as a liaison between Analytics and Service Lines clinical and business leaders; interview users to gather detailed requirements, documenting them in the central intake process and identify existing solutions in the Analytics space; create a detailed product delivery plan when necessary, navigate existing tools, pull preliminary data from internal and external systems including Premier, Avant Garde and others as required to scope the project; create reports, metrics, tools, data models, data-marts, cubes, dashboards, and document process flows; fulfil data needs for the Service Lines on priority basis; and work on one-time requests from other areas of the system.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Informatics, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Training: None
Experience: Three (3) years in the position above, as a BI Developer, as a Data Analyst, as a Software Engineer, as a Developer - Cloud Technologies, as a Financial Data and Systems Analyst, or in a related occupation;
Other Requirements: Experience must include one (1) year use of all the following: Power BI, SQL, Python, statistical analysis, Microsoft Azure tools, Git code repo, relational database design/queries, dimensional data model design, and ML modeling.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience.
