Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist – Pediatrics
Location: Royal Oak Medical Center - 110 E. Second Street Royal Oak MI 48067
Department: Pediatric Gastroenterology Clinic
Schedule: Full Time - 40 Hours - Day Shift

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with pediatric experience to join our team. The SLP will provide clinical services to children with a variety of speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders. This includes comprehensive evaluations, individualized treatment planning, therapy services, and follow-up care. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children and families to support communication and developmental milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech-language and swallowing evaluations for pediatric patients.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.

  • Provide direct therapy services to children with communication and swallowing disorders.

  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to support care goals.

  • Document patient progress, maintain accurate clinical records, and comply with reporting requirements.

  • Participate in patient case reviews and contribute to ongoing care planning.

  • Provide mentorship and clinical supervision to clinical fellows, as applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited graduate program.

  • Successful completion of the National Praxis Examination.

  • Completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on pediatric care strongly preferred.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Current Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the State of Michigan.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with early intervention, school-aged children, or medically complex pediatric patients.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
