Experience
Must have in-depth knowledge and skills
in the areas of physician practice management, financial management, health
insurance negotiating and contracting, marketing, billing and information
systems, human resources, care delivery transformation, and innovation. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage
providers and other clinical staff is essential. Previous experience working within and
leading a managed care environment is important. Past experience and proven success in leading
the teaching and research missions, virtual care, and population health are also
important skill sets.

service line strategy with Senior Vice President, Operations & Continuum of
Care; Chief Nursing Officer; and Vice President, Henry Ford Allegiance Medical
Group

As a member of
the Executive Team, the CMO will work collaboratively to innovate and
strategically lead the organization to the highest levels of quality, safety
and customer experience.
·
Expected to apply
tools and strategies around the Triple Aim, High Reliability (zero defects) and
Lean/Six-Sigma to set and accomplish goals. He/she will use evidence-based
practices as part of the process of improvement and innovation.
·
Champion the
alignment of physician and other medical staff members with the Health System,
to foster a culture of collaboration, engagement and commitment to care that
routinely benchmarks in the top decile nationally with aspirations to lead
beyond existing benchmarks.
·
Provide oversight
and leadership of medical staff services, including credentialing privileges,
medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations, peer-review and provider
enrollment. Supports recruitment and retention of high performing and
culturally-aligned providers and serve as a mentor for strengthening the
physician leadership (including at the governance level) of HFAH.

The CMO is to act
as the principal liaison with the medical staff, assisting medical staff
leaders in carrying out their duties of oversight, mentoring, peer-review and
performance assessment of all physicians and practitioners as detailed in the
HFAH medical staff bylaws. Rules and regulations, and any applicable HFAH
policies and procedures.

Provides medical
expertise in the areas of patient experience, clinical efficiency, information
technology, utilization review and case management, risk management, infection
control and overall resource utilization.

Assists the
executive team in enhancing relationships with the medical community, strategic
planning, and enhancing the overall efficiency of HFAH in delivering high
value, patient and family centered care.
