Security Officer - Contingent - Henry Ford Macomb Hospital
- Ability to read and write in order to prepare reports and analytical skills in order to investigate situations at a level normally acquired through completion of high school.
- Approximately two years related work experience and/or equivalent education necessary in order to fully understand the role of a Security Officer and to obtain knowledge of fire and safety procedures and security surveillance equipment.
- Communication skills and interpersonal skills necessary to interact with a wide variety of individuals during stressful and/or emergent situations.
- Analytical ability necessary to conduct a thorough investigation.
- Constant movement from location to location as well as frequent (up to 20 percent of work time) ability to drive in order to patrol and monitor assigned area.
- Exposure to weather conditions up to 20 percent of work time.
- Potential for physical injury when interacting with combative patients or restraining a suspect up to 10 percent of work time.
- Ability to lift and move patients and/or transport bodies to the morgue
