GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine complex security/safety/parking work functions in the performance and supervision of security staff, as well as, protects life and property by supervising and performing security work. Reports to the Security Supervisor/Leader and under general supervision is responsible for the coordination of daily shift activities. Performs all the duties of Security Leader whenever assigned by the Director of Security or designee.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Associate degree required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Requires the job knowledge, skills and abilities of an HFHS Security Officer/Security Police Officer or the equivalent in work experience and must have currently received a satisfactory or above performance review in all areas.
- Completion of IAHSS Supervisory and Safety training programs within the first year required.
- Must demonstrate strong management and communications capabilities.
- Must display excellent customer service skills and behaviors as outlined in the HFHS' Customer Service Policy.
- Work requires interpersonal skills that key in on quality customer service initiatives along with the leadership skills necessary to supervise assigned personnel. Must have ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
- Must have ability to follow and give verbal written instructions.
- Must not have been convicted of any criminal activity.
- Must have ability to train and supervise subordinate personnel, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates, peers, supervisors and the general public.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Requires certification under public act 330 within the first year of performing this role or at the first offered classes in the tri-county area.
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted Michigan driver's license that meets HFHSP minimum standards.
