REQUIREMENTS:

  • Registered nurse with current Michigan licensure.
  • Nursing Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical, quality management and/or utilization management experience preferably in a managed care environment.
  • At least two (2) years of data analytical review of clinical, quality management and/or utilization management experience preferably in a managed care environment.
  • Previous knowledge of patient safety, NCQA, CMS, and Leapfrog.
  • Computer literate with excellent knowledge and experience of a variety of software programs with proficiency in Windows based software (i.e., Microsoft Office).
  • Proficiency required in MS PowerPoint presentations and web-based technology.
  • Be proficient in using relational databases and statistical analysis.
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work successfully to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Be highly organized, flexible and cognizant of time frames.
  • Be a high producer, team player and a pro-active achiever.
  • Be able to work with minimal supervision, be decisive and persuasive.
  • Apply clinical knowledge and expertise to improve quality outcomes.
  • Have knowledge of performance improvement methodologies.
  • Engage and advance new concepts, research findings and innovative approaches to quality improvements in healthcare and related business fields.
  • Knowledge of HMO and managed care concepts. NCQA, CMS and other regulatory standards desirable.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license without restrictions.
  • Must have reliable transportation to conduct off-site reviews and other activities as required.
