GENERAL SUMMARY:

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate. 

Henry Ford Medical Center – Hamtramck has primary care providers specializing in comprehensive care, family medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology.  The site also offers diagnostic and therapy services.  Located in downtown Hamtramck, behind the Hamtramck Senior Plaza.

Hours:  8:30AM-5PM Monday-Friday No weekends No holidays (Clinic is open 8AM-5:30PM)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Bachelor's Degree preferred.

 Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation.

Minimum 2 years of experience a licensed RN (prefer Geriatric care or critical care)  

Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.

Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel. 

Previous Geriatrics and/or complex Care experience, highly preferred.

EPIC experience highly preferred

Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. 

Triaging 

Responding to in basket emails and phone calls

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.

Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.

Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
