Psychologist - Psycho-Oncology
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Health Psychology from an APA or CPA accredited program and at least 1 year post doc experience. Two years of experience as a practicing Psychologist is preferred. Skill and experience in providing clinical psychological services to patients with acute or chronic medical illness, mental health, substance use, and/or developmental disorders and systems-based perspective that includes caregivers. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the scientific methods used in psychology; the social, behavioral, developmental, and biological sources of normal and pathological behavior, psychopathology, behavior change, and psychotherapy, particularly in the medical context. Knowledge of state and federal laws and legal requirements for practice. Skilled in developing and presenting psychoeducational materials and in making group presentations preferred. Skilled in providing clinical supervision preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
Must have completed a Pre-doctoral internship or Post-doctoral fellowship approved by the American Psychological Association or Canadian Psychological Association or must meet the requirements of a Registrant in the National Register, or be a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology. Must be in possession of or eligible for a Rule 10 License or independently/fully licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Michigan.
