EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Associate’s degree in Health Care Administration, Business or related field or an additional two (2) years of experience in health care setting may be considered in lieu of education requirement.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a provider office, billing department, or provider call center.
  • Experience with provider claims or billing issues.
  • Strong knowledge of managed care insurance products and product lines.
  • Experience in customer relations.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in an alternative delivery system preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with clinical personnel.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, including the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Self-starter.
  • Support corporate objectives and focus on long term goals.
  • Working knowledge of HAP’s internet-based applications.
  • Working knowledge of HAP’s communication and contact tracking programs, including PEGA.
  • Working knowledge of HAP’s mainframe, including Facets.Working knowledge of Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
