Project Mgr- Support Services Operations - Fulltime - Days - Detroit
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under minimal supervision from a director or Program Manager, performs and/or manages project work of a generally medium complex nature aimed at improving operating systems and functions within Henry Ford Health (HFH), with responsibility for managing projects, budgets, financials, and assist with vendor relationships in Food & Nutrition, Environmental Services, Clinical Engineering, Supply Chain, Patient Transport, and/or Facilities Management. Prepares reports and recommendations for management. May act as a consultant on projects outside of specific assignments.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Oversight:
- Assist with the development of annual budgets, monitor expenses and prepare variance analysis reports and financials.
- Track financial goals and established contractual targets.
- Prepare financial reports, submit requisitions, process invoices, and cost-saving initiatives submitted by contractors
- Reconcile vendor statements.
- Create and maintain project plans for any financial, strategic, improvement initiatives where Support Services are accountable for those correlated services.
Contract Management:
- Collaborating with third party vendors, Legal and Departmental leaders on contract negotiations, renewals, and amendments.
- Maintain contract repository.
- Assist Support Services program manager to monitor and evaluate performance metrics, ensuring contractors meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) in areas such as service quality, operational efficiency, and financial targets.
- Assist Support Services Program managers to ensure contract compliance, healthcare standards, and safety protocols.
Quality Assurance & Performance Monitoring:
- Assist with performance tracking/auditing of third-party vendors to measure service quality, customer satisfaction, key performance metrics (KPIs) and operational efficiency.
- Assist Program Managers during departmental audits, inspections, and reviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with contractors to develop corrective action plans for performance gaps and ensure timely resolution of issues.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Finance, Business Management, or a related Support Services field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in third-party vendor management, contract management, or support services area within healthcare.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost analysis, and financial performance monitoring.
- Proven ability to manage multiple vendors, service contracts and/or projects, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
