EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Project Management or Computer Science with training in personal computing and client server applications.
  • Related and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of academic requirements. Related experience is defined as six (6) years of experience within IT, and/or Project Management.
  • Three (3) years of project management experience in running large projects of a complex nature.
  • Three (3) years of agile experience.
  • Three (3) years information systems experience in computer related areas such as application development and new product implementation.
  • Three (3) years of experience at all levels of system development projects with emphasis in leading large, multi-disciplinary teams evaluating and implementing technologies.
  • Two (2) years of experience in development of process and project methodologies.
 
  • Additional experience in Agile, Scrum, Project Management, Risk Management, Customer Service, Project/Resource Planning, Metrics Reporting, Systems Design, Application Development and Client Server Implementation.

 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

Firm commitment to pursue Scrum Master Certification within two (2) years.

 

Expected Competencies:

  • Nature of the work requires progressive leadership, interpersonal communication, decision making, financial and technical skills.
  • Must exhibit the ability to function in an autonomous manner in an unstructured and rapidly changing environment.
  • High energy: strong project and thought leadership, analytical, project planning and staff motivation/ coordination skills to enable efficient, timely task completion of deliverables that meet or exceed project expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a creative, "out-of-the-box" thinking to develop original solutions to overcome roadblocks and meet or exceed project requirements and expectations.
  • Participation in Project/Process Management Organizations such as PMI and CMU-SEI.
  • All Project Management disciplines (Risk Management, Quality Management, Schedule Management, Financial Management, Vendor Management, Scope Management, Issue Management, and Resource Management).
  • Planning and implementation of new IS technologies into a mature IS infrastructure.
  • Understanding of various project methodologies.
  • Development and review of RFPs.
