DESCRIPTION:

The Project Manager supports the business development and planning functions of the department. Specifically, this position supports new practice implementations, researches and implements new specialty practice initiatives and other initiatives related to the advancement of the department, and provides high quality planning and business development leadership to support and advance the financial and strategic initiatives of Allegiance Health. He/she obtains a clear understanding of the project scope, objectives and team member roles and responsibilities and applies standard project management methodology, tools and practices to ensure successful outcomes of projects. The Project Manager is also responsible for managing the resource time of others that are assigned to their projects. This position is responsible for enterprise, cross-divisional projects with a high degree of complexity and medium to high risk. Provides project leadership to identified projects. Identifies and coordinates the proper resources to ensure successful project outcomes. Analyzes and supports project requests. Assists management to prioritize requests in order to maximize health system’s ROI and resources to reach the desired results. Uphold customer service standards.
 

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Management, Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
  • Demonstrated, successful project management experience.
  • Prior experience planning and managing mid to large scale projects.
  • Demonstrates leadership ability, communications, and interpersonal, skills necessary to interact effectively with physicians, management, staff, external agencies/customers and patients/families.
  • Strong analytic and financial skills necessary to collect and analyze data to determine and implement effective action and solutions
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications (intermediate excel skills required)

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Healthcare Administration, Finance, Nursing or related science.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a physician practice preferred.
  • PMP and/or Lean certification
  • Project Management Institute certification
  • Prior experience in the health solutions industry
  • Ability to lead multi-functional teams
