Responsible for leading the management, development, and efficiency improvement of a Global Health Initiative program; responsible for the overall coordination and management of the program including all projects and budgets within the program; develop program staff and provide guidance and support in the planning, creation, administration and strategic direction of programs and initiatives; sustain financially and expand the program; monitor and advise leadership on the implementation or improvement of procedures or key metrics aimed at meeting the department’s goals; identify funding opportunities, and subsequently write and submit funding proposals; set long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the program; develop program and project evaluation frameworks to assess strengths and weaknesses of the program and projects; review and analyze program activities to assist and advise program coordinators regarding prescribed standards, practices, and procedures for achieving program goals; evaluate activities and make recommendations to increase operating efficiency and ensure program objectives are met; provide technical planning, assistance, and training to staff in the use of the department’s project management platform Smartsheets for documenting outcomes and effectiveness of the concerned projects; responsible for clinical trial logistical and regulatory support, as well as data management, including literature review and data validation; monitor study progress and study protocol compliance; demonstrate proficiency in utilizing Smartsheets to efficiently manage and report grant activities and financial summaries; utilize and apply knowledge of clinical research operations coordination/leadership activities, scientific grant writing, literature reviews, grant management, grant reports preparation, qualitative research, quantitative research, data analytic tools, data collection/analysis/storage, IRB audit preparation, new IRB study submission/continuation/amendments, and manuscript/research paper writing to perform assigned duties; communicate regulatory feedback and decisions to investigators; coordinate with investigators and staff on regulatory requirements and IRB application processes; write and submit abstracts to national conferences and prepare manuscripts for submission to peer reviewed journals; participate in the development of quality management practices and maintenance of necessary records and reports related to the projects; monitor program activities on a regular basis and conduct an annual evaluation according to the evaluation framework; provide direction to program staff and give input for performance reviews as needed; develop and monitor work plans for interns; write status reports on the program and projects that are accurate and up to date; and review program and project expenses.

Education: Bachelors Degree in Public Health, Health Policy, Healthcare Administration, Medical Administration, Healthcare Management, Medicine, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Training:  None.
Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Healthcare Coordinator, as a Healthcare Project Coordinator, as a Research Assistant, or in a related occupation.
Other Requirements: Experience must include two (2) years use of all the following: clinical research operations coordination/leadership activities, scientific grant writing, literature reviews, grant management, grant reports preparation, qualitative research, quantitative research, data analytic tools, data collection/analysis/storage, new IRB study submission/continuation/amendments, IRB audit preparation, and manuscript/research paper writing. 
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience.
