ABOUT THE ROLE:

Henry Ford Health in partnership with DTE is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paramedic to join our dedicated Occupational Health team. In this critical role, you will provide a wide range of care services to DTE employees working in collaboration with other healthcare providers. May also work on the Mobile One health unit, and drive the vehicle as required. 

GENERAL SUMMARY:

  • Coordinates and performs medical surveillance exams for 100+ employees with detailed follow-up to ensure compliance for OSHA recordkeeping.
  • Takes calls on the injury call line and triage to appropriate treatment locations.
  • Delivers appropriate care for work related injuries. Case manages all work-related injuries.
  • Perform complete and consistent documentation per OSHA recordkeeping guidelines and Occ Health Documentation.
  • Excellent Customer Service/ Customer Recovery skills.
  • Use of Microsoft Excel, WORD for daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Use of TEAMS for daily, weekly, monthly meetings.
  • Organize and maintain medical supplies to ensure no expired medical supplies or medications.
  • Administer flu shots and COVID shots during flu season.
  • Input flu and COVID vaccine data into MCIR.

Location:  444 Wealthy St SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503 Grand Rapids, MI. Occasional travel to Big Rapids and Muskegon.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Completion of a Paramedic program.
  • Minimum of at least one-year experience in the field as a paramedic, preferred.
  • Maintains current ACLS and BCLS provider status.
  • Licensure as a Paramedic in the State of Michigan. 

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Requires prolonged use of hands, ability to reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, talk, hear, and smell. 
  • Must be able to regularly lift, carry, position, and/or move 50 pounds or more.
