Schedule: 2 - 12-hour Shifts, Hours will vary 1pm to 1am or 3pm to 3am, rotating weekend and holidays.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provide basic and advanced life support treatment, care and evaluation of patients.
- Identify, intervene, and stabilize the ill or injured patient under the direction and in collaboration with a physician and/or Registered Nurse.
- Initiate and implement interventions based on transport team protocols. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition and treatment, as appropriate.
- Provide population specific education to the patient and family about the patient's illness and therapeutic interventions.
- Inspect, maintain and care for equipment to ensure safety of the transport team, patients and public
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE REQUIRED:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Paramedic credentialed from the Michigan Emergency Medical Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
- Certification specializing in ER Vehicle Operation preferred.
- Drivers License credentialed from the Michigan Bureau of Motor Vehicles preferred.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
