Optometric Tech - Part Time - Shelby Township
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Requires a high school diploma or GED
Requires basic math skills
Requires a minimum of six months experience as an HFO Optometric Assistant, or has previous experience with the required skill sets of the Optometric Technician, successful review and completion of the Optometric Assistant Training Program, and pass the Optometric Technician written multiple-choice test at an 80% passing rate.
Requires experience in recording required patient information into the Electronic Medical Record system. Requires the ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
Requires the ability to listen and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
Requires the ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

Works in a retail optical environment. Requires evening and weekend hours.
