Occupational Therapist- Home Health Care- Contingent- Pay Per Visit - Macomb County
As an Occupational Therapist in our Home Health Care Division, you will be required to conduct Therapy in our patients homes. This position has a coverage area of Macomb County. This area includes but is not limited to: Chesterfield, New Baltimore, New Haven, Lenox, Ira, Casco.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of the therapy supervisor, implements treatment programs and organizes and conducts a variety of sensorimotor, educational, recreational, and social activities designed to help clients regain physical or mental functioning and/or adjust to their handicaps.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Four (4) year baccalaureate degree program accredited by the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Registration by the State of Michigan as an occupational therapist.
- One (1) year of clinical experience.
- Must possess a current State of Michigan driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- May need to lift, carry, bend, stoop or be otherwise physically active in the normal course of job duties.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Works in the client's home which is an uncontrolled environment.
- May be exposed to potentially infectious materials, bloodborne-disease pathogens, and hazardous waste.
- Drives to and from the clients' homes located in the Detroit Metropolitan area in varied weather and traffic conditions.
- Must have reliable transportation and a telephone.
