Nurse Assistant Apprentice Program - Henry Ford Allegiance Home Care and Hospice Services - Jackson, MI
Education/Experience Required:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Must complete HFHS Nurse Assistant Apprenticeship Program recognized by the Department of Labor (DOL), successfully pass all testing and/or exam, and complete all HFHS Nurse Assistant Apprenticeship Program competencies within the timeframe designated in the HFHS Nurse Assistant Apprenticeship Program.
- Requires ability to read, write and understand verbal and written instructions.
- Strong interpersonal and customer skills required in order to interact effectively with individuals from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Must be able to lift, carry, transfer and move clients if needed.
Certifications/Licensures Required:
- Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during apprenticeship program.
- In Home Care department, requires valid Michigan driver's license and a dependable vehicle insured as required by the State of Michigan.
The Nurse Assistant Apprenticeship Program is one year, and after completion of the program, it will require a one-year working commitment with Henry Ford Health System. Participants will work 36 to 40 hours per week. Shifts and assigned units will be determined during the interview process.
