EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- Associate's degree preferred.
- Technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical techniques at a level normally acquired through completion of a vocational or trade school required.
- Five (5) years of recent work experience in Plant Operations/Facilities required.
- Prior supervisory/management experience required.
- Experience in regulatory compliance strongly preferred. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact and communicate effectively with vendors and a variety of Hospital personnel when exchanging information, and to effectively lead and coordinate assigned staff.
- Analytical skills necessary to prepare and prioritize work assignments, maintain a variety of records and reports and assist in the development of departmental policies, procedures and budgets as well as evaluating new supplies and equipment.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Technical licenses in Life Safety areas preferred.
- State Fire Marshal certification preferred.
