GENERAL SUMMARY:

  • The Manager-Ambulatory Medical Centers will support the Directors of Ambulatory Regional Operations and is responsible for overseeing the management of the facilities and leasing activities within the ambulatory medical centers.
  • Ensures that the facilities are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with regulations, and supports the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.
  • Reports dually to the VP-Primary Care & Medical centers and the Dir-System Ambulatory Operations.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the development of policies, and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the ambulatory medical center.
  • Keep track of all ambulatory building projects and cost related to the projects
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and renovation of the facility, including building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Partner with Facilities and Ambulatory Operation Directors to coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective facility services.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the ambulatory medical center's plant operations,
  •  Ensure the proper functioning, maintenance, and repair of all plant equipment and systems.
  •  Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  •  Monitor the leasing and space management activities within the ambulatory medical center, including lease negotiations, renewals, and tenant relations.
  •  Collaborate with legal, finance, and administrative teams to review and negotiate lease agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  •  Conduct space utilization assessments to optimize the use of available space and support the expansion of medical services.
  •  Coordinate with internal stakeholders to plan and implement facility changes, reconfigurations, and relocations as needed.
  • Monitor expenses, analyze budget variances, and implement corrective measures as necessary for special building projects
  •  Collaborate with finance and accounting departments to track and report financial performance, including capital expenditures and ongoing operational costs.
  •  Stay updated on relevant regulations and accreditation standards related to facility management, plant operations, and leasing.
  •  Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes, fire safety, and environmental regulations.
  •  Coordinate inspections and audits, implement corrective actions, and maintain documentation to meet regulatory requirements.

 

 

 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

  • Bachelor's degree in facility management, engineering, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in facility management, plant operations, and leasing, preferably in a healthcare setting or ambulatory medical center.
  • Strong knowledge of facility systems, maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with lease agreements, contract negotiations, and space management principles.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience.
  • Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications for facility management and financial analysis.
