Licensed Practical Nurse - 6 South East: Med/Surg - Renal/Oncology - Full Time - Nights
Under the delegated authority of a registered nurse or provider, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) uses sound nursing judgment in provision of nursing care. Performs a variety of both technical and routine nursing services. Collaborates with health care team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the effectiveness of the nursing care plan. Demonstrates clinical competence.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing School
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills
- LPNs that work in home care environments must have reliable daily transportation and will be required to maintain insurance, acceptable driving record according to HFHS Policy 4.09, and meet fingerprinting eligibility standards.
- Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards and behaviors as outlined in the HFHS’ Customer Service Policy: Communication, Ownership, Understanding, Motivation, Sensitivity, Excellence, Teamwork, Respect
- Must practice the customer skills as provided through on-going training and in-services

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Successful completion of HFHS pharmacology exam for the LPN
- Current BLS
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- For the ambulatory setting, previous ambulatory nursing experience preferred
