EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- ·
Minimum of 4-8 years of experience including on
the job training in fire alarm systems, life safety systems or Pneumatic Tube
systems.
- ·
Ability to troubleshoot/read basic and complex
electrical/electronic circuits and schematics.
- ·
Minimum of 4-8 years of experience
repairing/replacing fire alarm systems and or pneumatic tube systems.
- ·
Minimum of 4-8 years of experience conducting
inspections and testing in accordance with NFPA Life Safety Codes preferred.
- ·
Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in State and
Local Fire and Electrical codes, CMS and Joint Commission regulations
preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

Minimum of one or more of the following
licenses:

State of Michigan Electrical Journeyman's
License • City of Detroit Certificate of Fitness • State of Michigan Fire Alarm
Specialty Technician
o
NICET Level 2 certification or higher
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposed to temperature of hot and cold, noise, dust,
electrical shock, falls and the use of chemicals in cleaning. Ability to lift
and move electronic equipment and components such as television sets weighing
up to fifty (50) pounds.
