GENERAL SUMMARY: 

The Corporate IT Department manages thousands of IT software assets with associated, often complex, licensing requirements. Under the leadership of the Program Manager, IT Asset Management the IT Software Asset Management Analyst supports the efforts of the IT Asset Management organization to monitor software acquisition and deployment activities to assure 100% licensing compliance. The IT Software Asset Management Analyst is a member of the Office of IT Service Management and executes activities required for the management of software assets of the organization. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software licenses and assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts. This individual assists in defining long-term strategic management of software assets of the organization as well as forming and executing procurement strategies to optimize software spend across the organization. The IT Software Asset Management Analyst also will contribute to the continuous improvement of processes implemented for tracking software assets throughout their lifecycles. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. 
  • Three (3) years of direct work experience required. 
  • Three (3) years of direct work experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  •  Written and verbal communication skills required. 
  • Broad knowledge of information technology and licensing practices related to COTS, infrastructure software, enterprise applications software, developer tools, etc. preferred. 
  • Proven researching ability preferred. 
  • Experience interpreting licensing terms and conditions preferred. 
  • Previous asset management responsibilities preferred. Knowledge of IT Service Management principles and processes preferred. 
  • Knowledge of quality management and/or lean management practices preferred.
  •  IT asset management and discovery tools preferred. IT contracts management practices preferred.

     

    CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: MCSE Certification desirable. Certified Asset Manager (CSAM) certification or equivalent desirable. ITIL V3 Foundation certification desirable.
