IT Architect | Technology Services | Full Time
GENERAL SUMMARY:
As an IT Architect this position will be responsible for collaborating across teams to plan, design, and support various technologies and services. His or her responsibilities will range from global planning and project execution, to operational support. He or she will oversee the technical architecture by coordinating with senior engineers and managers to plan, implement, and support enterprise systems.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and maintains key architecture deliverables (requirements, vendor selection, detailed design, test plans, and go live scripts)
- Develops 3 year roadmap for technologies and or applications within their scope
- Develops and maintains 3 year capacity plans
- Ability to create formal executive level summaries and recommendations
- Ability to work well in a “weak matrix” environment, collaborating closely with other technical architects
- Ability to review complex IT infrastructure deliverables, provide direction, ensure concurrence between technical teams
- Assists in improving project management and support processes
- Stays current on technology trends and future releases. Recommends upgrades and new technology that can bring enhanced functionality and cost savings to HFHS.
- Formally raises all technology risks within their scope i.e. software out of support, capacity issues, stability issues, security issues, etc.
- Writes and publishes enterprise architecture standards
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree required, ability to work nights and weekends when required
- 5+ years of IT experience required.
