HOLISTIC REGISTERED NURSE - NURSING ADMINISTRATION - 40 HOURS - DAY SHIFT

Shift: Days, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. This role may occasionally include rotating evening hours to accommodate events.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Role Description:
Henry Ford St John Hospital’s Nursing Administration team is looking for a registered nurse to join their Integrative Practice/Nursing Excellence team! In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and educating patients, hospital staff, and community members on holistic practices and concepts.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop programming, present research-based initiatives, organize events, and coach caregivers on best practices. As you grow in your position, you’ll also play a vital role in the Professional Nurse Council and Daisy committees. The ideal candidate will have their BSN, Holistic Nursing board-certification, prior hospital bedside nursing experience, and a desire to learn aromatherapy and public speaking skills.
- Serves as consultant and educator for the provision of spiritually centered holistic integrative services offered to patients, caregivers, and the community.
- Responds to consultative requests and provides recommendations for holistic interventions.
- Collaborates with leadership and other departments to optimize quality and care delivery.
- Serves as consultant on assessment, recommendations and access to services for non-pharmaceutical aspects of pain management and relief of suffering.
- Provides non-pharmaceutical interventions for pain management, stress and anxiety reduction for patients, in collaboration with other disciplines.
- Educator and presenter for community organizations, schools and churches.
- Participate in and supports research initiatives of the organization through education, practice and leadership.
- Evaluate existing integrative practices based on current research findings to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Holistic Nursing Certification preferred
- BSN preferred
