General Summary:
  • Reporting to the Vice President, is responsible for the direction of Greenfield Health Systems' dialysis operations for wholly-owned, partnership, joint venture, and management contract programs. 
  • Develops and monitors the budget, financial outcomes, quality, safety, engagement and customer satisfaction. 
  • Ensures effective and efficient resource management for clinical program improvements, staffing levels and to provide favorable business results.  
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversees the development and implementation of dialysis-related policies and procedures. 
  • Provides operational leadership to dialysis administrative and nursing leaders. 
  • Consistent with ESRD specific CMS Conditions of Coverage, may be appointed as a governing body and administrator by the GHS Board of Trustees to assume full legal authority and responsibility for the management of all dialysis operations, its fiscal operations, continuous quality and assessment and performance improvement (QAPI). 
  • Responsible for the oversight and direction of dialysis services including inpatient, contracted, outpatient chronic and home programs. 
  • Plans, prepares and administers budgets and maintains appropriate operational business functions and processes. 
  • Works closely with finance director to ensure optimal financial performance, budgetary responsibility and compliance. 
  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to and compliance with legal, regulatory and accreditation standards in accordance with federally mandated guidelines. 
  • Promotes and maintains relationships with physicians, patients, families, staff, regulatory and governmental agencies, vendors, insurers, attorneys and other HFHS departments. 
  • Oversees and contributes to the design, implementation and evaluation of quality assurance/improvement processes, service standards and satisfaction measures. 
  • Responsible for driving the focus on business development on a global level, identifying market opportunities, strategic plans and a business model for the operation of the dialysis units. 
  • Oversees the design and construction of new dialysis units as required, including presentations to planning agencies. 
  • Participates in all State regulatory survey response plans, RFP’s, contract negotiations, and HR management activities. 
  • Serves as a resource for corporate, medical staff, compliance and other GHS areas. Responsible for evaluating processes and improvement implementation in all operational/clinical areas. 
  • Responsible for leadership development and ensures team member training and competency for all Greenfield Health Systems clinical positions. 
  • Oversees hiring process, performance management and reviews disciplinary actions/terminations of team members. 
  • Promotes and ensures Greenfield Health Systems’ commitment to HFHS System initiatives, leadership standards and philosophies including diversity, performance excellence, quality and safety, employee engagement and customer satisfaction.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration, or related field required. 
  • Advanced degree in Healthcare Administration or MBA preferred. minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative and/or health care management experience required. 
  • Experience with fiscal and human resource management techniques and applications and Healthcare Administration, including managed care administration, regulatory management, government regulations, and computer systems and applications, preferred. 
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in order to communicate effectively with professionals from diverse clinical and professional disciplines, is required.
