Setting: 100% Outpatient
Call/Weekends: No Weekends. Call – 1 week per year coverage for HF Jackson Primary Care.
Position Overview:
Henry Ford Health is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Family Medicine team. This provider will deliver high-quality, evidence-based primary care to patients of all ages within a collaborative and well-established practice. Ideal candidates will have two or more years of primary care APP experience, though motivated new graduates are welcome to apply. The practice is in a new building with excellent clinical space, long-standing APP presence, strong physician collaboration, and a high level of autonomy. EPIC EMR is utilized, and the office offers on-site laboratory and diagnostic services, along with a strong focus on quality metrics and comprehensive patient care.
Key Responsibilities
· Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses
· Manage bloodborne pathogen exposures and vaccination programs
· Perform medical surveillance and respirator fit testing
· Ensure compliance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and CDC guidelines

Qualifications:
- APP must be licensed to see patients of all ages.
- 2 + years’ experience as an APP in primary care, preferred.
- EPIC experience, preferred.
Education & Training
· Nurse Practitioner (NP): Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)
· Physician Assistant (PA): Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
Licensure
· Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Michigan, or in the process of applying (proof of application required)
Certification
· NP: National certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan (e.g., ANCC, AANP)
· PA: Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Required Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
DEA / Controlled Substance Licensure
- PA: DEA and Michigan Controlled Substance License (CSL) required through credentialing
- NP: DEA registration required through credentialing; NPs do not hold a Michigan CSL and will use their Michigan license number during the application process
