GENERAL SUMMARY:
As an Emergency Room Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or Provider, you will support clinical functions, assist with patient care based on individual needs, and help ensure efficient department operations.
Afternoon Shift 3:00 pm - 3:00 am
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist nursing staff and providers in delivering direct patient care within the scope of training and hospital policy.

Obtain vital signs, assist with procedures, perform EKGs, and maintain patient safety and comfort.

Transport patients and specimens as needed.

Maintain clean and stocked patient care areas and equipment.

Document accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.

Respond to emergency situations under supervision.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient flow and care delivery.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
-
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Successful completion of a 180-day orientation period.

One (1) of the following:
-
Valid Basic Emergency Medical Technician (B-EMT) certification.

Graduate of a formal Medical Assistant program.

Completion of a formal nursing or medical doctor education program.

OR one (1) year of applicable Emergency Room Technical experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Previous experience as an Emergency Department Technician or Medical Assistant.

EMT license.
