Emergency Management Coordinator - Full Time/Days - Allegiance Health - Jackson, MI
Minimum Education
Associates degree or greater in healthcare related field or technical training completion (Firefighter, EMT or Paramedic, Military or Public Safety)
Minimum Work Experience
Two years in a safety or emergency management role.
Required Licenses/Certifications
None
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
National Incident Management System Training (ICS 100, 200, 300, 400 , 700,800).
Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Ability to independently develop, coordinate assigned activities.
Ability to mitigate hazards and monitor corrective actions.
Understanding and knowledge of safety for proficiency in achieving expertise in regulations and standards as applicable to safety (i.e. Joint Commission and OSHA).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills including 1:1 interactions, meeting participation, facilitation of training and team collaboration.
Professional Emergency Manager PEM (within 36 months of hire)
FEMA Hospital Emergency Response Training HERT Trainer (within 24 months of hire) or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates Degree or greater in healthcare field or technical training completion (i.e. EMT and Firefighter)
Safety or emergency management experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Hazardous Materials Operations or Technician Certification
Certified Healthcare Safety Professional CHSP
Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional CHEP
