EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or other related field to provide familiarity with all facets of nursing services and hospice procedures.  Master’s degree in nursing or another related field preferred.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible healthcare management experience.

  • Interpersonal skills required to provide guidance and supervision to assigned professional, support and clerical staff. 

  • Analytical ability required to evaluate the effectiveness of operational policies and procedures and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Manual dexterity required in the demonstration of appropriate hospice techniques and the preparation of reports.

  • May carry, bend, stoop, climb or otherwise be physically active in the course of job duties.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:  Current licensure in the State of Michigan as Registered Nurse, PT, OT, SLP or Social Work required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures.

  • May provide direct patient care.

  • Drives to and from meetings and patients’ homes located in the Detroit Metropolitan area in varied weather and traffic conditions
