GENERAL SUMMARY:

This position is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing degrees related to the following business areas: market research, customer experience, market strategy, data analytics.

This is part time (15-20 hours) with remote scheduling flexibility during the academic school year and a full-time hybrid internship in Troy, MI during summer 2026 (travel/housing expenses not provided).   

Departmental Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, field, and analyze results from customer research projects (surveys, focus groups, etc.).
  • Collect and analyze market/competitive intelligence, producing takeaways and recommendations that drive strategies.
  • Engage in cross-functional product strategy efforts led by other team members.
  • Query and analyze HAP data across multiple functions (Sales, Membership, Marketing, Communications, etc.)  to evaluate performance and inform future strategies and tactics.
  • Other duties/tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma required and must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in business related to Market Research, Marketing Strategy, Data Analytics, or Customer Experience.
  • Students attending a Michigan located institution preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication, and analytical or critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) required.
  • Experience with Power BI, Qualtrics or SQL preferred.
