Responsible for the overall financial and operational success of the e-Home Care team.  E-Home care is a department that houses the technology that HFHS uses to keep customers safe in the community.  The three main devices are Remote Patient Monitoring, Lifeline Personal Response Systems, and Medication Dispenser Services.  There is an average daily census of approximately 1200 customers on service.  Manages a team of 7 Remote Patient Monitoring Nurses, 1 Office Supervisor, 3 Office Support Specialists, and 3 Delivery Service Technicians. Responsibilities include:

Finance: 

With the assistance of the Director of Finance, develop budget for the department and utilize budget to operate the department in a fiscally responsible fashion by controlling overtime and costs for equipment and supplies.

              Oversee billing processes for private pay patients.

Oversee processes for charges entered into the professional billing for Remote Patient Monitoring reimbursement

With the assistance of an Administrative Assistant, review, approve and pay invoices from vendors via purchase orders. 

Vendor Relationships:

investigate new and maintain existing vendor relationships through virtual calls and in-person meetings when appropriate

Operate within agreed upon terms and conditions of vendor contracts.  Hold vendors to the terms and conditions that they have agreed to. 

Negotiate new/renewing contracts for equipment and services with the assistance of the VP of Henry Ford at Home and legal counsel.

Innovation:

Collaborate with members of the Henry Ford at Home and Henry Ford Health System teams to find new and different ways to use technologies currently offered by Henry Ford e-Home Care and possibly new technologies to assist them in caring for patients and increasing employee and patient satisfaction.

Collaboration and Marketing:

Collaborate with departments throughout the Henry Ford Health System to promote use of HF e-Home Care solutions.  Examples:  Population Health, Case Management at all Henry Ford hospitals, and the Henry Ford at Home liaisons. 

Collaborate with Henry Ford Health System Virtual Care dept at quarterly meetings to exchange ideas and updates.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate's degree in nursing required. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Requires current licensure in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse.
  • Requires three (3) years of progressively responsible health care experience, one (1) year of which should be in home health care, hospice or home infusion arena; previous supervisory experience is preferred.
