Clinical & Education Coordinator Anesthesia Full Time Days Dearborn
Administers intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render persons insensible to pain during surgical procedures, obstetrical deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures. Potentially administers anesthesia to all ages and A.S.A. classes of patients, including geriatrics and pediatrics. Provides airway management services as needed throughout the hospital. Facilitates the coordination, scheduling and activities of the assigned CRNAs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, with current licensure to practice in Michigan as a Registered Nurse.
Graduation from an accredited school of anesthesia. Minimum of 3 years of clinical anesthesia experience.
Supervisory experience preferred.
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURES:
Certification to practice as a Nurse Anesthetist and maintenance of certification as required by guidelines established by the Council on Recertification and by the State of Michigan.
Maintains currency of: 1) Clinical Privileges 2) RN License 3) State Specialty Certification 4) Current/Active Certification to practice as a Nurse Anesthetist and maintenance of certification as required by guidelines established by the Council on Recertification and by the State of Michigan 5) ACLS Certification.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Driving may be required, dependent on specialty. Frequent walking, bending, lifting may be required to perform duties.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is generally in an operating room environment, but can be in Radiology, ICU, ER, or wherever nurse anesthesia services are required in the hospital. Working conditions are variable with exposure to communicable diseases and other hazards.
