Chief Operating Officer Henry Ford Medical Group
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field.
Ten (10) years management experience in health care with at least five (5) years in a senior role.
Minimum of seven (7) years of leadership and/or executive experience leading a physician group practice (greater than 100 physicians) is essential.
Demonstrate a strong track record of developing and maintaining collaborative relationships among diverse groups, including Board members, medical staff, as well as key external stakeholders.
Previous experience with physician strategies including a history of successful collaboration with physicians and with Administrative peers.
Proven success and experience with physician employment contracting and physician compensation plans in collaboration with Human Resources.
The ability to create an environment of open communication and trust with physicians and hospital management.
The ability to work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team at HFHS as well as with diverse constituents.
Broad-based experience in all aspects of managing an organization, including finance; program, service or business development; communications and marketing; and patient relations.
Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and abilities to represent HFHS effectively.
Excellent planning, problem solving and time-management skills.
Experience in physician billing and compliance.

DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures. Must be able to adapt to frequently changing work priorities and be able to prioritize and balance the requirements of working within and throughout various functions and entities in the organization to achieve ambulatory operational success. Must be able to travel frequently to various HFHS sites and locations as needed.
